Summary: Mamura Nasirova (Uzbekistan) is a Research Associate at UNDP BRC. In this capacity she covers two cross-cutting areas CPR and Gender. Her work embraces a wide range of analytical and research work as well as support to programme development related to such areas as gender mainstreaming, security sector reform, post-conflict reconstruction in Western Balkans etc. Prior to joining UNDP BRC, Mamura spent 9 months with AccountAbility UK, where she provided a research support to the Institute’s programme on Partnership Governance and Accountability. Mamura previously worked in UNDP CO in Uzbekistan (1998-2004). She continuously contributed to a dialogue between the UNDP CO and Governmental counterparts in Uzbekistan on issues related to democratic governance, regional cooperation in Central Asia, etc. Mamura holds MA degree in International Politics/International Relations from the University of Manchester, UK, with a major concentration on global security and political development. In 2005, she researched issues related to global governance and accountability at London School of Economics and Political Science, University of London.
